2005 Annual Report

The theme for 2005 was ‘making it happen’, and the strategy was to to promote Melbourne/Victoria as a world-class production destination both nationally and internationally.
This was achieved through both the creative and technical production process employed. The overall look and feel is dynamic, visually engaging and most of all inspirational for its intended audience.
Cues were taken from the film industry in the form of layered lighting effects, suggesting the movement of film on a reel. Dynamic linework was over-laid to represent the journey of film-making. Key sections were clearly defined highlighting the purpose and goals of each division within Film Victoria.
Typography, corporate colours and the supporting visual language work together, further strengthening the Film Victoria brand.Printed on a range of stocks has resulted in a report with a rich tactile quality.
An uncoated cover provides a warm accessible introduction to the report while contrasting with gloss on the inside to to bring up the richness of the colours. A translucent stock provides a gateway into the report, displaying the ‘vision/mission’ statement in an innovative way.
