The Melbourne International Arts Festival is one of Australia’s premier arts festivals. It presents unique international and Australian acts in the fields of dance, theatre, music, visual arts, multimedia, free and outdoor events over 17 days each October.
Lemonade has worked with the Festival for the last four years delivering powerful website solutions that promotes the Festival and serves the needs of Festival-goers through to sponsors, patrons and media.
Working with the Festival, we have developed an understanding of their marketing objectives and audience, resulting in a finely tuned web site architecture that allows the masses to quickly assess which shows are right for them, via a combination of design cues, a purpose built media player and an outline of what to expect.
Festival-goers easily find shows by type, keyword search and advanced search. The Festival Planner allows hardcore Festival-goers to plan their ultimate Festival experience with ease.
A content mangement system was developed to keep pace with the fast moving marketing, development and publicity teams at the Festival which allows them to control all content from basic information pages through to event content and the creation of their HTML newsletter and flyers. These newsletters had detailed reporting on opens, forwards, click-throughs and unsubscribes as well as automatically handling bounces.
The interface design was inline with the corporate identity and design theme, but still accessible and usable to create wide appeal were also a key requirement.
Flash components were designed and developed and managed via the Content Management System to ensure the content is delivered in its most appropriate format.
